Hamar Cathedral School is a combined upper secondary school (high school) with both general studies and vocational program areas, and is owned by Hedmark county.

The school gathered all activity in new school facilities in 2008. Hamar Cathedral School now accommodates approximately 1440 students and 240 employees. The school’s total area is 25.000m², and it is situated on the outskirts of Hamar.

The municipality of Hamar has a population of 30.000, and is located by the lake Mjøsa, about 100 km north of Oslo. Transportation is fairly easy, as our main highway (E6) and railroad pass through our area.

Vi har i flere år hatt en overordnet avtale med en tysk skole i Bremen. Skolen minner om Hamar katedralskole, siden den har både et studieforberedende og yrkesfaglig utdanningsløp.

For several years, we have had an agreement with Schulzentrum des Sekundarbereiches II an der Bördestraßein Bremen in Germany. There are 1200 students, and as our school, this is a school for general and vocational studies.

Lycée Alfred Kastler
Vi har en overordnet avtale med en fransk skole i Bourdeaux. Skolen har både en studieforberedende og yrkesfaglig utdanningsløp.

Alfred Kastler er en videregående skole med 1200 elever mellom 16 og 20 år, altså jevnstor med Hamar katedralskole. Skolene satser på å ha et jevnlig samarbeid med utveksling av elevgrupper og felles prosjekter innen miljøteknologisk innovasjon.

Lycée Alfred Kastler
We have an agreement with Lycée Alfred Kastler in Bordeaux in France, a school for general and vocational studies.

Alfred Kastler is an upper secondary school with 1200 students between 16 and 20 years old, approximately the same size as Hamar katedralskole. The two schools go for a regular cooperation. We are planning student and teacher exchange and common projects within environmental topics linked to technology.
